SINGER Jessie J headed starsâ Red Nose Day antics last night â" by having her hair shaved off to raise more than £500,000.
Jessie, 24, had her famous black locks shorn, watched by Comic Relief co-founder Lenny Henry.
The Voice star later told hosts Dermot OâLeary and Claudia Winkleman: âItâs the weirdest feeling... it feels so liberating.â
The Price Tag singer â" who touched her shaven head several times in apparent disbelief â" was thrilled to learn how much cash the stunt brought it.
She beamed: âI feel exhilarated to be able to raise money for people who arenât fortunate enough to say something and be heard. I wanted to do something that wasnât just for today â" itâs going to last a few months.â

The BBC1 extravaganza, in its 25th year, also saw the comeback of Ricky Gervaisâs comic creation David Brent. Viewers heard the cringeworthy Office boss boast he was now forging a career as âa local Simon Cowellâ and managing a rap star.
Harry Styles and his band One Direction sang the official Comic Relief single â" a cover of Blondieâs One Way or Another â" with Louis Tomlinson dyeing his hair red for the event. Comic Peter Kay travelled on a sofa from Belfast to the London studio.
Meanwhile, Labour MP Fiona Mactaggart is set to pay out £14,000 after pledging £1 for every retweet of one of her Twitter messages.
Earlier this morning, it was announced that this year's Red Nose Day raised the highest total in its 25-year history, with a whopping £75.1million.
