So Brad Pitt had no difficulty tapping into his family man alter-ego to shoot new movie World War Z.
In a newly-released trailer for the upcoming zombie apocalypse film, Brad is seen putting his wife and children above all else as he prepares to fight to save the world.

Taking over the world: Brad's character Gerry Lane goes to Russia in the film in a bid to find out exactly where the zombie epidemic began from
The trailer opens with Brad's character Gerry Lane telling his children to be brave, before ensuring they are safe with their mother in a bunker.
Then asked to join forces with the army to help fight the zombies, United Nations employee Gerry tells the leader: 'I can't leave my family.'
He is then told: 'Don't pretend your family is exempt when we talk about the end of humanity.'

Gerry then takes it upon himself to make the journey to Russia, in a bid to find out exactly where the zombie epidemic began, telling one fellow soldier: 'I need to get answers.'
Before leaving for Moscow, Gerry is warned of the seriousness of the mission he is undertaking, with one man seen telling him: 'Every human being we save is one less to fight.'
The trailer for the movie, which includes explosions, violence and terrifying zombie attacks, comes as the poster for the film was also released.

The image shows a tower of zombies attempting to jump onto a helicopter, circling just above the pyramid.
World War Z, initially set for release on December 21 this year, has now been pushed back to June 21 2013, after re-shoots took place in September and October.
Filming of the movie took place in 2011, with the crew spending time in Malta, Glasgow and Cornwall to get the perfect shots, before heading to Budapest.

However, the morning before filming began, a Hungarian Anti-Terrorism Unit raid seized the firearms that had been brought in for use as props for the movie.
This, along with changes to the script, has ensured that the movie has been a lengthy project.
World War Z is due for release on June 21st.
