In the third episode of Arab Idol Two, the star studded panel of jet-setting judges took their search for talent far and wide, landing in three locations across the region.Â
First up was Morocco, where the judges found a mixed bag of stars in the making and talentless wannabes.Â
Morocco's most memorable moment came courtesy of confident contestant, Shafeek Neebo. While he might not have reached the bright lights of fame and fortune, Shafeek proved that he already has the diva attitude needed to make it big in the Arab celebosphere.Â
Before even singing a note, Shafeek whined that stars including Naser Mahrous and Lebanese lovely, Sherine Abdel Wahab, are constantly attacking him for his 'art'. Proving he already has no fear when it comes to sparking celebrity spats, Shafeek claimed that Haifa used used to step back while he took center stage as a backing singer in his choir.Â
Shafeek might have talked the talk but the moment soon came to put his music where his mouth is. The wannabe star impressed viewers with his Spanish and Arabic singing skills but even this wasn't enough to get him past the picky judges and into the next round. While Nancy Ajram was happy to let the cocky contestant sing another day, the other judges sent him packing.Â
And the drama didn't stop there - far from gracefully accepting his defeat, Shafeek pulled an epic diva strop, claiming his rejection was yet another example of him being unfairly attacked by Arab stars.Â
After leaving Morocco, the judges headed to Jordan in search of the kingdom's hidden talent.
But while Jordanians came out in force for the auditions, the judges seemed less than impressed with the talent on offer.
Only giving three contestants were given the golden ticket to the next round and of those lucky few, only one was actually Jordanian!
However, while the talent in the Hashemite Kingdom might have been nothing to shout about, a surprise appearance from last season's contestant, Youssef Arafat, kept viewers tuned in. Â
Finally, the judges headed to Egypt where exceptional voices were aplenty.Â
Aside from the signing, one contestant shook up the judges with his out-of-this-world confession that he can talk to spirits. Haitham's spooky talent made Ahlam and Nancy jump out of their seats. But the contestant soon lightened the mood with impressions of famous actors.Â
While the judges were happy to wish him luck in his acting career, they decided singing just wasn't for him!
Fans of Arab Idol Two can't wait to see what weird and wonderful characters will appear in the final round of auditions this weekend.
