KATY Perry's ex boyfriend John Mayer says he’s much "happier" now they have parted.
The ladies’ man spoke about their rollercoaster seven-month relationship during an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' chat show where he admitted he finds being a one woman man ‘tricky’.
He conceded: "I’m on the same journey as everyone else. Coupling is a tricky thing."

When questioned if the pair had split up for good, John replied: "Correct."
He continued: "Listen, it was a very private relationship going in. It was a private relationship during and it’s a private relationship, still.

"I can understand asking the question based on some previous answers I have given but I have finally learned how to put the wall between one thing and the other. I’ve been much happier since then.
"I want everyone to be happy."

The beauty was previously in a relationship with comic Russell Brand but they parted in December 2011 after just 14 months of marriage.
