Hollywood came to Washington, D.C. on April 27 for the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The capitol has never looked more beautiful as stars like Katy and Sofia Vergara walked the event’s red carpet. Washington, D.C. is usually a drab, down-to-business city where everyone is on the grind 24 hours a day. Except for one event every year â€" the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. The event brings together the politicians, the media, and most importantly the celebrities. Only the Correspondents’ Dinner could make stars like Katy Perry and Sophia Bush the talk of the D.C.!
White House Correspondents’ Dinner Red Carpet
Katy made sure to make some waves in an elegant, green gown with flourishes of gold. Is it just us, or does Katy look a little Game of Thrones-inspired?
Elegance and class was the theme of the Correspondents’ Dinner red carpet. Some good examples were Sofia Vergara’s amazing deep blue, slight cutout dress or Hayden Panettiere’s pristine gold gown with sheer side panels.
Olivia Munn looked in charge in a black gown accented by loads of diamond necklaces. Meanwhile, Kate Mara was on the other end of the color spectrum in an angelic all-white dress.
Sophia Bush also went down the heaven-themed path in a sheen white gown that showed a little leg.
Let’s not forget the gentlemen though, shall we? Glee’s Darren Criss proved that he can wear a suit like a pro in a perfect black tuxedo with a matching bow tie.
And PSY of all people also attended the event, rocking his go-to two-toned buck shoes.
The man of the night award has to go to Tracy Morgan, who yucked it up on the carpet and humorously leaned his face up against his very pregnant girlfriend’s baby bump. Always a joker, that one.
