Is Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr having her wings clipped?
Well, it depends who you ask.
According to several media reports, Kerr may be hanging up her wings from the lingerie maker that helped her gain international fame.
A report in Us Weekly Wednesday claimed the 29-year-old Aussie model did not have her $1 million contract renewed with the company. The magazine cited an unnamed source that described Kerr as a diva who had "a difficult reputation" and "was not a big seller" for Victoria's Secret.
Ed Razek, president and chief marketing officer for Victoria's Secret, addressed the reports in a statement. Razek denied Kerr was a diva but didn't deny claims her contract was not renewed.
"Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business â" and easily one of the most popular. She is also a consummate professional. Any rumors to the contrary are simply untrue," he said. "While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we'd like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me."
Razek went on to say Victoria's Secret "has no plans to stop working with her" and that Kerr has agreed to walk in the company's annual famous fashion show.
A publicist for Kerr reportedly confirmed Razek's comments but declined to elaborate.
If Kerr were to part ways with the brand she would join the likes of Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum, who also did so around the age of 30 â" to move on to other business ventures.
Kerr has her own makeup line and was chosen last year to be an ambassador for Qantas airlines.
Kerr is married to actor Orlando Bloom. The couple have a 2-year-old son, Flynn.
