Too harsh? In a new interview, 98 Degrees warns other boy bands to ‘stay away from Taylor!’ Whose side are you on?
Taylor Swift just can’t catch a break! Recently, Tay has had a string of celebrity haters, including Michael J. Fox, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler â€" and it looks like 98 Degrees is the latest to join the group!
In an interview with MTV News, the boys shared some words of wisdom with young boy bands like One Direction and The Wanted. The band’s lead singer Nick Lachey took the opportunity to warn the boys about songwriter girlfriends.
“And stay away from Taylor Swift!†Nick added. “She’ll write a song about you… Oh! I’m too late on that one. I didn’t get to [that advice] fast enough. [The song will] be a hit, but it will be about you.â€
Although Nick was definitely aiming that comment at Harry Styles, he was also referencing his marriage to Jessica Simpson. Nick definitely knows a thing or two about being romantically involved with a fellow artist!
One Direction Disses Taylor Swift In Concert
Nick wasn’t the only one slamming Taylor this week, One Direction did too! During a concert in Newcastle on April 8, the band performed their song “Little Things.†Right after Harry sang “I’m in love with you,†one of the other boys yelled out “Taylor Swift!â€
Although it wasn’t Harry who said Taylor’s name, it’s clear that one of his bandmates was playing a prank on him!
