A BEAUTIFUL TV presenter has told how she’s given up showbiz to become a full-time carer for terminally ill patients.
Cathy Zimmermann, 31, stripped off for Playboy magazine this week as she explained how she’ll bring a smile to the faces of patients facing their final days in a Vienna hospice.
The Austrian star, who appeared in a local version of Strictly Come Dancing, told how she had a change of heart after helping to nurse her mother through a major operation.
She said: “After my mother was taken for an emergency operation last year something changed in me.
“Now I try to separate myself from everything which makes me feel bad.
“Whether that’s the wrong friends, relationships, jobs, whatever. I don’t want anything to stop me. That would be a waste of life.â€
Cathy says she trained with the Catholic Caritas health organisation and now volunteers at hospices in the Austrian capital.
An official said: “As a palliative care assistant she sits next to people during their last days offering them support and listening to their last wishes. Maybe holding their hands and just listening or talking.â€
Cathy also told Playboy what she admires most in other women’s bodies, saying: “I like women to have a bottom which sticks out a little bit, nice and round and hard.â€
