She stars in a TV series which involves time travelling, aliens and various other wonders of science fiction.
But when it came to finding a body double for Jenna-Louise Coleman, as she filmed the 50th Anniversary episode of Doctor Who, it seems the team were a bit stumped.
The pretty brunette was spotted filming alongside a not so pretty male stunt double who was wearing a wig and the same dress as her as they filmed in Cardiff on Thursday.
Double trouble: Jenna-Louise Coleman was seen with a male stunt double while filming Doctor Who in Cardiff on Thursday
Dressed in a large black cardigan, a red dress could be seen underneath as she strolled around on her set.
Nearby her male stunt double stood in his wig which was impressively similar to the starâs hair.
He too wore a dress with black tights but instead of wearing black boots with a slight heel, he wore a pair of trainers.
Big episode: Jenna was filming for the 50th year special of Doctor Who which will air later this year
The use of a stunt man suggests that Jenna, who plays Clara Oswald to Matt Smithâs doctor, is set to involved in some exciting stunts on set.Â
Doctor Who is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and to commemorate the date a special episode will air in November that will include a number of guest stars.
Former Doctor David Tennant and Billie Piper, who played sidekick Rose Tyler, will also be making a highly anticipated return.
Keeping refreshed: The actress was seen carrying a large bottle of water around with her on set
Speaking recently about the episode Jenna, who starred in Emmerdale, said: âIt's massive! It's going to be a real treat for Doctor Who fans over the past 50 years.â
It certainly looks set to be a great episode as last month Matt was seen dangling from the bottom of the TARDIS next to Nelsonâs Column in Trafalgar Square.
However show bosses have stayed tight-lipped about the plot for the special episode which is rumoured to be a 3D extravaganza.
Dramatic: The special episode promises to be exciting and the stunt double on set suggests there will be action for Jenna Louise
While many famous faces will be returning for the show Christopher Eccleston has turned down the chance to appear in the episode.
The actor, who played the ninth reincarnation of the timelord when the BBC revived the show in 2005, met writer Steven Moffat to discuss the anniversary.
A BBC spokeswoman said: 'Chris met with Steven Moffat a couple of times to talk about Steven's plans for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode. After careful thought, Chris decided not to be in the episode. He wishes the team all the best.'
Meanwhile fans can watch the latest series starring Jenna-Louise and Matt, which returned for the second half of its seventh season on 30 March.
