She might be one of the most famous faces in the UK thanks to her success in the Spice Girls, but Geri Halliwell proves she's just like the rest of us.

The busy working mother stopped off at the shops on Sunday morning to pick up her necessities for the week - including a bumper pack of loo roll.

With daughter Bluebell in tow, the singer looked flustered as she packed her weekly shop load into the car.

Dressed in a pair of skinny jeans and a grey T-shirt, the ginger star showed off her tiny frame as she shielded her eyes from the sun in a pair of shades.

The 40-year-old - who juggles her career and being a mum - completed her look with a pair of brown tasseled boots and matching handbag.

Taking to Twitter, the star revealed that she was enjoying her housewife duties.

Ms Halliwell has had a tough week after news that the Spice Girls' musical Viva Forever was closing.

Taking to Twitter last Thursday Geri tweeted: 'We love u all @vivaforever , @emmabunton @MelanieCmusic @OfficialMelB @victoriabeckham #what a shocka , gutted .x'

The show announced its departure after it was revealed that it had lost at least £5million since its opening last year.

A statement from the Spice Girls read: 'We want to thank the cast and all the fans for their support, and although Viva Forever won't continue in the West End we are thrilled that the thousands of people who came to the show had as much fun as we did.'

Meanwhile Geri has recently won a role as judge on Australia’s Got Talent after her former band mate Melanie Brown lost a court case preventing her from taking the role.

Scary Spice was not allowed to take part in the show after her X Factor bosses at Seven argued she had an existing contract with their network which preventing her from jumping ship.

Geri however was quick to point out she was given the blessing from Melanie, and she told Australian radio show A Current Affair: 'She actually said I just want you to know I think you should do it cause you're gonna have a great time and I love Australia.'

And it seems she’s really looking forward to her new job, adding: 'I actually genuinely love the show, you know. I watch Britain's Got Talent and I'm a fan of the show. I think shows like that are brilliant and I love the opportunity they give to normal, everyday people.’
