New reports just surfaced saying the suits at NBC briefly floated Alec Baldwin's name around as a potential replacement for Jimmy Fallon, but the idea was quickly dropped.
One source close to the situation admits:
"His name was mentioned as a possibility, but there were never any negotiations."
And he won't be replacing Carson Daly, either â€" NBC just renewed Last Call for it's 13th season!!
We're happy for Carson, but we're bummed Alec won't take his talents to late night TV!
Charmingly handsome and unpredictably volatile are an interesting combination!
What other hunk-y loose cannons can liven up the middle of the night after Jimmy migrates to the Tonight Show?
