The Stones have lined up a string of surprise guests for their Saturday night gig on the Somerset venueâs Pyramid Stage, which was to be broadcast live on BBC2.
BBC bosses and the band are now locked in negotiations aimed at increasing the amount of hits TV viewers can see.
Mark Cooper, BBC head of music television, said: âWeâre having an ongoing discussion with the Stones. Iâm talking to Mick about it.â
TORY MP Angie Bray has accused the Beeb of overspending on Glasto after figures revealed it is sending 314 staff to the festival â" ten per cent more than last time.
