Learning the ropes: Kourtney Kardashian takes baby Penelope on a shopping ...

Baby Penelope is almost one-year-old so it is about time she started following in the footsteps of her famous family.

The tiny tot was seen hitting the shops with her yummy mummy Kourtney Kardashian showing her the ropes on Thursday afternoon with a little help from Lily Aldridge.

Kourtney, 34, made sure that Penelope was dressed to impress for the day of bonding as they wandered around New York City together making a very cute couple.

Penelope looked super cute in her little outfit as she clung to her mother while departing luxury department store Barney's.

She wore a lovely baggy silk blouse which she teamed with a pair of yellow trousers and matching little shoes.

The dark haired baby looked like she was having a good time as Kourtney kept her close with both arms wrapped around her.

The reality television star showed that good fashion style runs in the family as she put in a cool effort in a all white ensemble.

Kourtney wore a pair of white trousers with a matching blouse, but added some much needed colour with a pair of leopard print shoes.

After shopping up a storm in the department store, Kourtney emerged with a couple of bags filled with purchases.

Luckily, she had Lily on hand to carry her bags for her while Penelope kept her hands full.

The Victoria's Secret model looked effortlessly stylish in a black jumpsuit which she teamed with a pair of brown boots.

Kourtney's great sense of style has perhaps influenced her new collection with sisters Kim and Khloe for Dorothy Perkins.

The girls have enjoyed huge success with their Kollection at Dorothy Perkins, following the launch at the store last year where they injected their va-va-voom style into over 100 pieces bags, tops and dresses.
