She, and her ex-alter ego Carrie Bradshaw, are known for their keen sense of high fashion.
But Sarah Jessica Parker showed she can look just as classy in a pair of slim fitting trousers, sleeveless T-shirt and low slung turquoise heels as she stepped out in New York on Friday.
The 48-year-old mother-of-three walked her son James to school, with the ten-year-old looking almost as tall as his famous mother.

Considering she had been out the previous evening, Parker looked remarkably fresh during her early morning stroll.
The star glammed up in a sleek black frock, matching heels and a side ponytail at a Lexus event for New York Fashion Week on Thursday night.
Joining the Olson twins at the bash, the star also showed off her tan, after recently spent her summer holiday sailing around the Greek islands with husband Matthew Broderick, Jeremy Irons and his wife Sinead Cusack.

And it seems the actress will say close to home in the coming weeks.
She is due to star in an off-Broadway play The Commons of Pensacola alongside Blythe Danner, which previews on October 22 and opens officially on November 21.
The play, written by actress Amanda Peet, sees Danner play a woman 'forced to leave her life behind when her husband's Wall Street scam became headline news,' according to the Manhattan Theatre Club.
