The releases come after she announced plans to drop her new album have been shelved
Mariah Carey has released two hot new remixes of recent track #Beautiful – shortly after admitting that plans to release forthcoming album The Art of Letting Go had been shelved.
The long-player was initially expected to drop in July, but Mariah says she's so intent on perfecting the tracks that a summer release date ias unrealistic as she continues to tweak the material.
"While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don't feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23," she recently tweeted.

"I'd rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it's meant to be heard. When I'm ready, you'll be the first 2 know!"
Collaborator Miguel also had something to say about the curious hashtag attaxhed to the title of their track.
"The hashtag in the title of this song is particularly fitting because the word that comes before 'beautiful' when I sing the chorus is an expletive that I can't say on air," he said, in quotes taken from the Mirror.

"But the hashtag is particularly fitting for that expletive, if you just kind of pay a little bit of attention."
