Miley Cyrus flashes her backside and part of her breasts in a new photo shoot for V magazine.
As if you needed more proof that Miley Cyrus wanted to move past her Disney days, the 20-year-old singer and actress' recent photo shoot with V magazine is her most revealing yet. Renowned photographer Mario Testino shot the tri-fold cover, with pictures of Cyrus showing off her abs, legs and a spiky, pink-tipped hairdo.
Cyrus bares even more skin -- including part of her backside and breasts -- inside the magazine.
Interviewed alongside collaborator Pharrell, Cyrus opens up about her highly scrutinized relationship with Liam Hemsworth, her edgy new style and her growth as an artist.
"I work every day," Cyrus said in reference to reports that her and her fiance Hemsworth haven't been photographed together recently. "Iâm not home with my boyfriend all the time. We work."
Every week itâs âAre they broken up? Because we donât see a photo of them.â I donât have time to go to Starbucks with my boyfriend every morning. I wish I did, but I donât. Iâd rather chill at my house and be there for the time I actually get to spend with him. And then Iâm at the studio all day. He gets up to work out at six and I come home at five from the studio. I put this record before everything, and Iâve never done that with anything. Iâve put too much into this record to put anything else in front of it.
Pharrell apparently encouraged Cyrus to try out the punk-inspired hairstyle that made a splash in the media.
[Pharrell] was the first person I called as soon as I pulled my bun up and [hairstylist Chris McMillan] went like this [makes snipping motion]. He was the only person I wanted to call, because I wanted him to know that Iâm not fucking around with what Iâm saying. Iâm going to change, Iâm going to be different, Iâm going to do what I want to do. I chopped my hair and bought a pair of Docs and never looked back.
Cyrus said that while she's appreciative of her previous hits, like the chart-topping summer jam "Party in the U.S.A.," she's ready to move beyond them.
I can never say that I donât love âParty in the U.S.A.â and that Iâm not appreciative of it. It would be like my dad saying that he hated âAchy Breaky.â Itâs what gives you everything that you have. I would never take it back. But thatâs not who I am, thatâs not where I want to sing, thatâs not what I want to sing, and thatâs not what I want my voice to sound like, because you canât hear me through there. I like that Rihanna has a tone of her own. Beyoncé has a tone of her own. I have a tone of my own. Everything else is just blending into one club mixâ"but we keep our 808s in there because I love them.
"In my mind Iâm Gucci Mane, but on paper Iâm a pop artist," she added.
