As she arrived at the Met Ball on Monday night, Heidi Klum looked as though she could have just stepped out of the pages of a fairytale.

The supermodel was a stunning sight in a silvery Marchesa gown with heavily embellished bodice and fluid satin train.

So it was quite the contrast when the German born beauty left her New York hotel the following day in an extremely casual ensemble.

Heidi couldnâ€™t have been more dressed down in her tomboyish outfit.

She was spotted in the laid-back look while wheeling her Louis Vuitton suitcase out of her hotel.

The 39-year-old was dressed in a camouflage T-shirt under a battered olive jacket with black sleeves.

She also sported baggy boyfriend jeans which contained plenty of rips.

The star also stuck to flats in the form of camouflage studded pumps and covered her face with oversized sunglasses.

It looked as though Heidi may have slept with her hair in the braided updo she sported to the biggest fashion night of the year, as her blonde locks fell in curls around her face.

Heidi shied away from the punk theme of the annual ball in favour of sporting the glamorous gown, which left plenty of her cleavage on show.

Heidi had a smile on her face as she strolled out of her hotel, after having what looked like a great time the previous evening.

No doubt the Project Runway host was also happy to be on her way back to Los Angeles, where her boyfriend and children were awaiting her.
