SIR Elton John last night cancelled a concert in America â€" after being stuck down with a stomach bug.
The 65-year-old Candle In The Wind singer was scheduled to perform to fans at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex Arena in Birmingham, Alabama.
But the gig was scrapped with only hours to spare. A spokesman for the British star said he had a “tummy upsetâ€.
A photograph on the arena’s Facebook page pictured the singer’s piano already in place and ready for the show.
Sir Elton cancelled several shows last year due to ill health. Some of his Las Vegas concerts at Caesars Palace were shelved after he was hospitalised with a “serious respiratory infectionâ€.
He is scheduled to play again tonight in Memphis, Tennessee.
