Robert Pattinson tells 'clingy' Kristen Stewart to give him some breathing ... - OregonLive.com

Kristen Stewart is looking to make up for lost time. But will that make Robert Pattinson tell her it's time to get lost?

Now that Pattinson is back from shooting a movie Down Under, Stewart "wants to spend every minute" with her "Twilight" beloved, which has the actor yearning for some personal space because "she’s being really clingy right now," according to RadarOnline.com.

“Absence makes the heart grow fonder though, and he feels their relationship will be ultimately stronger if they’re not always together,” a source close to the couple told the website.

The couple spent two months apart as Pattinson filmed "The Rover" in Australia. Media reports suggested Stewart was desperate for contact the entire time, while her on again-off again boyfriend enjoyed the break.

Stewart now wants to take time off work and spend the entire summer with Pattinson, but he still has some lingering doubts about their relationship and the scars inflicted last year by her cheating scandal â€" and is even fearful she might cheat again, the insider says.

“Since Robert’s been back, they’ve been inseparable,” the snitch confides. “Kristen wants to spend every minute with Robert, who has now managed to get over his reservations about living back in Los Angeles. She’s even talked about attempting to take summer off to spend every day with him."

Trying to fight off Stewart's space invasion, Pattinson has suggested they give each other room to breathe and walk a cautious path in their relationship.

“Robert proposed the idea that they don’t necessarily have to live in each other’s pockets, talking about how much he missed her while he was away and said that made him realize he does still want her in his life."

Stewart reportedly welcome Pattinson home with a big party, and the couple was spotted out on the town having drinks with friends.

“Rob and Kristen were having so much fun together," a source told E! News. "They sat in the back of the bar in a booth and were laughing. At one point, they were standing at the bar and were just being normal, as any boyfriend and girlfriend would be with each other."

Did Justin spit? Depends on who you ask

Remember that "Seinfeld" episode in which Kramer and Newman accuse baseball player Keith Hernandez of spitting on them and the truth of the situation unfolds in Zapruder film fashion with accusations of a second spitter?

Well even if you didn't, that nutty premise gives you a sense of the bizarre swirl of accusations in Justin Bieber's latest drama.

TMZ talked with neighbors and Bieber insiders while trying to unravel what happened Tuesday morning when a neighbor confronted the heartthrob in their gated enclave in SoCal. The businessman and father of three said that when he chastised Bieber for driving his new Ferrari at reckless speeds up to 100 mph, the singer spit in his face and threatened to kill him. He's pushing for prosecution on a battery charge.

Bieber insists he never spit on the man, his insiders tell TMZ, and believe the man was trespassing on the 19-year-old's property. But the site spoke with witnesses who begged to differ. A group of landscapers was working at the time on a nearby house that was under construction. At least one in the group told the foreman he saw Bieber spit on the businessman.

Not only that, Bieber was so out of control he had to be restrained by a bodyguard after he lunged at the man, according to a neighbor's account to cops. (Coincidentally, the singer needed his security team to keep him from attacking a rude photographer this month in London.)

Cops are still investigating the case.

Meanwhile, amid the blitz of negative publicity, Bieber paid a house call to ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez on Wednesday afternoon, according to Us Weekly. He spent an hour there before returning to Europe to continue his world tour.

Minaj judges herself: 'I've been spectacular'

Sure, the ratings keep dropping at "American Idol," but don't go blaming Nicki Minaj. She's doing a great job. Just ask her.

During a conference call with reporters this week, Minaj gave herself high marks as a new judge when asked to rate her performance, Us Weekly reports.

"My best and worst 'Idol' moments? I don't have a worst 'Idol' moment," the 30-year-old rapper said. "I've been spectacular. Yes, I am going to toot my own horn. And then my best moment is every single moment. I'll toot it again!" Hey, Nicki, how about when you showed up 13 minutes late to the first live show of the season: Was that spectacular, too?

Even before her tenure on the fading reality singing show, gossip sites were buzzing over her purported fights with co-diva Mariah Carey. Minaj acknowledged her candid commentary doesn't always sit well with her fellow judges â€" Keith Urban and Randy Jackson being the other two â€" the contestants or viewers, but said she's being true to herself.

"I can't be someone I'm not," she says. "I can't sit there with a phony smile on my face; I can't do it. I'm happy that people are responding well to it. I mean, if I'm polarizing, I'm polarizing!"

Lopez says late-night hosting days are behind him

Amid rumors of another "Tonight" show shake-up, comedian George Lopez says he has no desire to return to the late-night talk show scene.

Lopez said he had a great two-year run as a late-night talk show host. But, he said, "I'm out of that thing."

"I know all those guys. They're all good guys, but that's a tough job. There are a lot of tough jobs in TV. That could be one of the toughest, hosting a show every night," Lopez said Wednesday night.

Lopez's comments in Sioux Falls, S.D., before taking the stage for a stand-up show benefiting the Brennan Rock & Roll Academy come after amid fresh turbulence in the late-night talk show business after word leaked last week that "Late Night" host Jimmy Fallon will unseat Jay Leno as the new host of NBC's "Tonight." The network has not confirmed the rumor.

Lopez wound up losing his cable television gig in August 2011 in a trickle-down effect from the last time the "Tonight" seat changed hands. TBS canceled "Lopez Tonight" after its second-year viewership dropped 40 percent when Lopez moved his show back an hour to midnight to make room for Conan O'Brien. Lopez gave up his 11 p.m. Eastern slot to accommodate O'Brien, who joined TBS after a time-slot dispute that ended up reinstating Jay Leno as "Tonight" host.

Lopez said he had a great time hosting the TBS show and that the gig gave him the opportunity to get to know everyone in the entertainment field, from actors Helen Mirren and Ben Kingsley to musicians Prince, Janet Jackson and Snoop Dogg.

"I tried to create a party, and we did," he said. "The greatest was getting a harmonic from John Popper and then doing shots with the band, Blues Traveler, in the back."

Lopez joked that he's probably better off that the party ended "just for the fact that I wanted to live a little bit longer."

"We went hard every night," he said. "We did it like the old days. You'd sit around and drink till like 11 and then go home and come back and do it all over again."
