She's most famous for hosting A Place In The Sun and competing on Dancing On Ice in 2011.

But it was more of a case of dancing on sand for Laura Hamilton as she made the most of a Barbados babymoon with her husband this week ahead of the arrival of their first child.

The 31-year-old presenter showed off her growing baby bump in a cute patterned bikini as she soaked up the sunshine on the beach.

Laura, whose due date is on 11th November, and husband Alex Goward have been treating themselves to a luxurious break staying at The Fairmont Royal Pavilion in Barbados before their lives are turned upside down by the arrival of a bouncing baby.

In between sunbathing and making the most of the amenities at the five-star resort, Laura and Alex were seen cooling off with a dip in the crystal clear water.

Throughout her pregnancy, Laura has been keeping her fans updated with her progress with a blog for Hello! magazine.

And in this week's blog, Laura dealt with criticism she has faced from people who have advised her that it's unsafe for her to fly this late in her pregnancy.

She wrote: 'Lots of pregnancy books I have read stress the importance of having a 'Baby-moon'. Obviously it's not advised to go anywhere where you would need to have any vaccinations or take malaria tablets, and a lot of books also say being heavily pregnant might be tougher in hotter climates.

'I've particularly struggled in the evenings when eating out at restaurants with no air conditioning, but during the day I don't think I have been hotter than anyone else.'

And the Caribbean trip isn't the last flight Laura will take, as she will be jetting off to Spain next month when she will actually be 34 weeks pregnant.

But Laura isn't too concerned about the fact she could potentially give birth in another country, adding: 'My midwife actually said that if the baby is born in Spain it's not a bad thing, since the healthcare system is so good there! But hopefully I don't go in to labour 6 weeks early…'

Laura and Alex arrived back in the UK on Thursday following their babymoon, and Laura was quick to thank the airline for their help on the long-haul flight.

Tweeting a picture of herself and Alex with a couple of British Airways staffmembers, Laura wrote: 'Thank you to the lovely @British_Airways crew for looking after us on the way home from Barbados. Top service! X'
