It would have been a rather uncomfortable run-in to say the least.
But fortunately Jennifer Aniston narrowly avoided an awkward encounter with with her ex-husband Brad Pitt's fiancée Angelina Jolie on Sunday.
The 44-year-old former Friends star changed her flight after learning she and Angelina had both booked first class tickets on the same British Airways flight from Los Angeles International Airport to London Heathrow.

A source explained that the actresses had no idea they were scheduled to take the same 11-hour flight until an airline employee got in touch with Jennifer's assistants to warn her about the potentially awkward situation.
According to E! News The 44-year-old actress, who is travelling to London to attend the première of her new movie We're The Millers on Wednesday, subsequently decided to change her plans and flew out of LAX on Monday instead.
Both actresses also usually stay at The Dorchester hotel in London but neither of them is staying there this week.
Jennifer, who is engaged to actor Justin Theroux, previously admitted she was heartbroken when her marriage to Brad broke down shortly after he filmed Mr and Mrs. Smith with Angelina.

She hit out at the brunette actress, who now has six children with Brad and recently had a double mastectomy, after Angelina shared details about how they fell in love on set.
She explained: 'That stuff about how she [Angelina] couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool.'
Meanwhile, the svelte yoga practitioner recently revealed during a radio interview on The Kyle and Jackie O Show that she would do anything to avoid having The Rachel hair cut ever again.
Although her portrayal of Rachel Green brought her to stardom in 1994 on the hit NBC show Friends, the actress is famously not a fan of the character's signature 'do.
Aniston was asked on the show: 'Would you rather have the Rachel haircut for the rest of your life or shave your head once?'
She responded without hesitation: 'Shave my hair once, definitely. The Rachel for the rest of my life? Shave my head once! Yeah, I'd shave my head once!'

She made headlines in July when she told Marie Clare: 'The Rachel was horrible!'
She explained in the publication: 'I'd curse [hairstylist] Chris [McMillan] every time I had to blowdry.'
Adding: 'It took three brushes -- it was like doing surgery!'
Meanwhile, Aniston's promotional trip to London for her new film We're The Millers – in which she plays a stripper – has been overshadowed by rumours that Ms. Aniston is expecting her first child with fiancé Justin Theroux.
The star was forced to confront growing speculation head on during an interview with Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie O on Monday, shortly before catching her flight to the UK.
She said: 'It does feel a bit like they've exhausted the question, and also the speculations. It's all been pretty much exhausted. Why not just wait until we actually get to have the fun of announcing something.
'Who wants to play the guessing game, whether it be (a) family, wedding, this, that, the other thing.'
She also admitted that recent pictures of her fuller figure were merely the result of 'gaining a few pounds.'
We're The Millers - which also stars Jason Sudeikis, Emma Roberts and Will Poulter – is currently in cinemas this month.
