Lindsay Lohan left rehab on Tuesday after completing her court-ordered 90-day stay.

The 27-year-old was pictured looking healthy and in good spirits as she climbed into a waiting car at the Cliffside Malibu Rehab Center in California.

The actress may be headed to a 'lower level sober living facility' after allegedly wanting to delay her return to the outside world for a few days, according to TMZ.

The star looked healthier than she has in a long time, sporting a curvier figure and laughing happily as she waved goodbye to her new friends.

Lindsay had clearly made an effort with her outfit, donning a summery blue dress paired with a suede jacket, black calf-length socks and ankle booties.

She wore her red hair loose and wavy over her shoulders and shielded her eyes with brown aviator sunglasses.

According to TMZ, Lindsay wants to stay another 'three or four days in a lower level sober living facility.'

Lindsay apparently feels she needs a transition period for a while longer before returning to normal life.

Despite the star's many previous attempts at rehab, sources have told TMZ they are 'shocked' at Lindsay's conduct this time around.

'It's like invasion of the body snatchers,' one source said. 'She's a different person.'

Lindsay is said to be moving to New York following her stint in rehab, but is 'scared about the temptations she'll face' according to the insider.

The Mean Girls star was ordered by a court earlier this year to spend 90 days in rehab as part of a plea deal after being found guilty of lying to the police about a car crash last year.

And she already has a post-rehab deal lined up with Oprah Winfrey's OWN network for an eight-part documentary series about her life as she tries to remain sober.

The reality TV show will be directed by Amy Rice, who helmed the 2009 documentary By the People: The Election of Barack Obama.

Lindsay will take part in a sit down interview with Oprah before her documentary series will air in 2014.

It was also confirmed on Tuesday that Lindsay will guest host an episode of Chelsea Lately next week - standing in on Monday's episode.
